Halloween Toasted Pumpkin Seed Recipes

Toasting your Pumpkin Seeds is a great way to use up the seeds and make a healthy snack at the same time once you have had fun carving your pumpkin!  Here are a couple of different options for Halloween Toasted Pumpkin Seed Recipes.

Toasted Pumpkin Seeds Recipe 1


  • Pumpkin seeds
  • Soy sauce
  • Garlic powder (optional)


  1. Preheat oven 225F/120C/gas mark 12. Wash pumpkin seeds and pat dry with some kitchen roll
  2. Soak the seeds in a bowl in a little soy sauce for an hour
  3. Sprinkle with garlic powder (optional) and spread the seeds on a non-stick baking sheet or a baking sheet with parchment paper
  4. Place in the oven and after 1/2 hour turn the seeds over and roast for another 30 – 60 minutes, turn again if needed.

  • Pumpkin seeds
  • 2 tbsp melted butter or 2 tbsp olive oil
  • Salt (can be seasoned salt or lo-salt)
  • Sugar


  1. Toss seeds in a bowl with the melted butter (or oil) and salt.
  2. Spread the seeds in a single layer on a baking sheet and bake for about 45 minutes or until golden brown; stir occasionally.
  3. Sprinkle a little bit of sugar on while hot (optional)
