Halloween Events for families at glor Ennis

glór Ennis have a full line up of events and workshops taking place for families and children this Halloween mid-term. These include the PAWS Festival and The Gruffalo live on stage!

PAWS – The International Pictures Ad Words Storytelling Festival – October 25th.

PAWS at glorThe first PAWS Festival will be held in glór this year.  The festival will highlight, art, storytelling, literature, comics, education, the Irish language, film, theatre, traditional storytelling and other media in which stories are told.  See www.glor.ie for more information on PAWS and the workshops on offer.

There will be a free open day for everyone to attend with stalls from comic creators, poets, novelists, illustrators, book publishers, etc. to show the variety of ways in which we tell stories.

PAWS Workshops

There will also be workshops (bilingual using Irish and English) on How to Tell Tales Through Pictures and Words, with all materials provided:
·         Ages 5-8 years with parents: 11.30am – 12.10pm,  €5
 per child – This is a workshop creating drawings for kids and their parents starting with a 15 minute storytelling session from Eddie Lenihan.
·         Ages 9-13 years: 2pm – 3.30pm, €8
 per child – In this workshop kids will create a small comic strip.  This workshop also includes a free Irish language comic

The Gruffalo Live On Stage! October 31st and November 1st

Gruffalo at glorThe Gruffalo (A Tall Stories production proudly presented by KW & NB Ltd) Hit monster family show direct from a West End Season!  Don’t miss Tall Stories’ hit musical stage adaptation of the award winning picture book, The Gruffalo by Julia Donaldson ad Axel Scheffler.
