Easter Egg Hunts

Westport House Easter Egg Hunt

The Annual Easter Egg Hunt at Westport House takes place this year on Sunday April 20th. Look high and low for clues to enter to win some great prizes while enjoying the gorgeous grounds of Westport House & Gardens. Pinkie the Easter Bunny will hop out to welcome all the boys and girls and he will lead the hunt for eggs. The first 300 kids to complete the hunt will get a complementary Easter Egg as their treasure! Every family that finishes will be entered to win some great prizes being awarded at 5:30pm. Be sure to get there early – it promises to be an egg-cellent day out for all the gang.

The Hunt is inclusive in the regular admission for the Pirate Adventure Park. So when you’ve completed the Hunt why not visit the outdoor amusements which are suitable for kids under 12.

Easter Eggcitement at Lough Key Forest Park

Lough Key Forest Adventure ParkThere will be heaps of Easter fun at Lough Key Forest Park this year. From April 11th the Visitor Centre will turn into an Easter Spring Haven and their special Easter Garden will be in bloom in the Visitor centre where the Easter Bunnies will picnic!!

Their Easter Egg Hunt takes place on 19th April, and on 20th April, there will be Easter storytelling with the Easter Bunny and free facepainting. And on Monday 21st, there will be Big Tree storytelling and free facepainting. The kids can get crafty at their Easter Craft Day on 23rd April, where there’s a choice of crafts or baking workshops.

New to Lough Key for Easter is 7 new Boda Borg Challenges, Electric Bike Trails, & Woodland Segway.

Easter Eggstravaganza at Tullyboy Farm

Enjoy the Easter EGGStravanganza for the whole family at Tullyboy Farm.  Meet the Easter Bunny and help him search for hundreds of hidden chocolate eggs. Enjoy ram racing and cheer on your chosen colour, have a rollercoaster ride down the farm on the Tullyboy Farm Express tractor trailer ride. The little ones will love the minature barrel train ride. Cuddle and caress the newborns and meet the animals up close at the animal shows, have a horse ride by lead rein on ‘Bob’ and help farmer Matt at feeding time.  All activities are included in the entrance fee. Come early to enjoy all activities. Separate egg hunts for under 5’s and  minature tractor barrel rides for younger children.

Ten14 at An Grianán, Letterkenny

World-famous Irish trad music legends Moya Brennan (Clannad) and Cormac De Barra (Harper) perform brand new music in this beautiful music show that they have created especially for children and families. Commemorating 1000 years since the Battle of Clontarf, Ten14 uses gorgeous music and lyrics to evoke the adventures of our first High King, Brian Boru, and his love of the harp.

Easter at National Museum of Ireland-Country Life in Turlough Park

museumofcountrylife mayoAt National Museum of Ireland – Country Life, step back 100 years and discover life in Ireland not so long ago. Ask Grandad – he’ll tell you all about it! Play the rhythm of a wild, stormy sea; be captivated by the haunting tales of the séanachai or search for Peadar, the pygmy shrew. If you find him, don’t let him go!A wonderful day out and it’s all for free! There’s a great café too. Visit the Museum on Sunday 20th April, and enter their great Easter Competition – fill out the Easter activity sheet and win a prize for the best drawn Easter egg or card design.

Amazing Grace Festival 2014

In Buncrana, Co Donegal the Amazing Grace Festival 2014 Family Fun Day takes place on April 5th. A fun-packed day for all the family including games, arts & crafts, competitions, balloon modelling, face painting, fun food, music & much more.  Admission FREE.
