What is it?

The second Excited Digital Education Festival www.excited.ie is a three day celebration and sharing of how technology is being used to educate students in Irish schools and an opportunity to help mould the future of learning in Ireland.

The series of workshops, panel discussions and talks creates an atmosphere of genuine collaboration where voices and opinions are valued and listened to.

Topics range from use of mobile and gamification to examples of how large and small schools are using ground breaking technology throughout the country.

excited digital festival“Growing our Network – Recruiting Revolutionaries” is the theme for Excited 2015. This looks at how to expand the community of trailblazing teachers, students, parents and entrepreneurs in order to reshape Irish education from the ground up. Parents play a crucial role and the more they understand the possibilities the faster the adoption will be.

The Excited Movement wants to hear from parents who are actively engaged and bring onboard those who have yet to experience how technology can enhance their children’s learning.

The event starts at 5.30pm on Friday 22nd and continues all day on Saturday 23rd from 9.30am to 4.15pm in Dublin Castle. Tickets are €49.95.

Why is it different?

One forum with diverse interest but all focused on improving the future of our children. Excited is unique in that it creates a positive cauldron of inspiration. The voices of students are as important as experienced educationalist. This atmosphere enables genuine sharing and a willingness to engage.

As an independent not for profit its aims are simply to improve the future of Ireland by delivering better education through technology. The sessions are structured to inspire parents through active engagement.
