If you’re looking for something interesting to do with kids and you or they have a passing interest in technology, then check out the Excited Digital Education Festival Dublin taking place this May 22nd and 23rd 2015. We have the inside scoop on the Festival and why families should go:
What is it?
The second Excited Digital Education Festival www.excited.ie is a three day celebration and sharing of how technology is being used to educate students in Irish schools and an opportunity to help mould the future of learning in Ireland.
The series of workshops, panel discussions and talks creates an atmosphere of genuine collaboration where voices and opinions are valued and listened to.
Topics range from use of mobile and gamification to examples of how large and small schools are using ground breaking technology throughout the country.
“Growing our Network – Recruiting Revolutionaries” is the theme for Excited 2015. This looks at how to expand the community of trailblazing teachers, students, parents and entrepreneurs in order to reshape Irish education from the ground up. Parents play a crucial role and the more they understand the possibilities the faster the adoption will be.
The Excited Movement wants to hear from parents who are actively engaged and bring onboard those who have yet to experience how technology can enhance their children’s learning.
The event starts at 5.30pm on Friday 22nd and continues all day on Saturday 23rd from 9.30am to 4.15pm in Dublin Castle. Tickets are €49.95.
