Create Your Own Virtual Easter Egg Hunt
Get creative this Easter and host your very own virtual Easter Egg Hunt that all the family can enjoy together online. Follow our step by step guide to get going!
- Whether you use Skype, Zoom, What’s App, Facetime or another video call app, be sure to send invites to everyone so they know what time and date to show up!
- If you are the host, then be sure to hide eggs in the house or garden before the call.
- Once everyone had dialled in, let the fun begin.
- The host should move slowly around the house or garden with the camera pointed away from them.
- Narrate as you go and get the little ones on the call to give you instructions as to where to move/point to next.
- When they spot an egg they need to let everyone know and shout out their name.
- Add the eggs to your basket so you can count them all up at the end.
To add a bit of extra fun, liaise with other parents before the call, so they have similar eggs to distribute safely to the children taking part. Each child could have a basket and parents add to it as they find the virtual eggs during the hunt.
Unfortunately this does mean, you will have to indulge in all the chocolate that you find, unless you keep it safe for little ones when they can next visit! So put the kettle on and enjoy a well deserved treat!
