Olaf, Anna, Elsa and Kristoff will soon be back on the big screen when Frozen 2 launches on November 22nd, but they’re also front and centre of the 2019 Iceland Christmas ad. The frozen food supermarket has partnered with Disney for a Frozen-themed ad that is sure to be popular.
The theme of this year’s ad is the Magic of Frozen, which also plays nicely to Iceland’s frozen food speciality.
The ad starts with a little boy playing with an Olaf soft toy, before we are transported to Arendell to see Olaf playing charades with Anna, Elsa and Kristoff in a unique animation created by Walt Disney Animation Studios.
While Olaf chooses presents, decorating the tree and throwing snowballs, Elsa conjures up an ice table and says “My favourite thing about Christmas is…a special meal we share together”.
We return to see the family enjoying their Christmas dinner, with a table laden with food. With Iceland on board to help you create the perfect Christmas dinner, it leaves plenty of time to spend with family and enjoying the pleasures of Christmas.
The ad will air from tonight (Nov 1st) at 8.15pm on ITV, but you can see it here now:
Alongside the Christmas advert, Iceland has launched an exclusive Disney’s Frozen 2 range that includes the 1m tall Jumbo Olaf seen in the ad, available in stores now for just €50. The rest of the range includes soft toys, games and food items such as breaded chicken shapes, Olaf and icicle lollies, breaded haddock snowflakes, and Olaf potato shapes.
