The adorable Heathrow Bears are back again in a touching Christmas ad all about family. Over the last two years, Heathrow Airport’s Christmas ads have touched many, thanks to their much-loved characters, Doris and Edward Bair. Now, the teddy bears are back again and there’s another heart-warming festive story to tell. The Heathrow Christmas Ad 2018 Is Un-Bearably Adorable:

In the un-bearably sweet story, set to ‘Every Time You Go Away’ by Paul Young, it’s nearly Christmas and Edward and Doris Bair have retired to Florida. We see the Bair’s living their retired Florida life but soon realising that winter sun isn’t all that it’s cracked up to be especially if you are away from your loved ones.
The Bairs go on Skype with their family, and that’s when you see them starting to miss home, as they see the familiar faces and hear the Christmas carols. With only a boxed turkey dinner in the fridge and a collapsing Christmas tree, they finally decide to hop on a plane to join their loved ones.
Doris and Edward Bair also starred in last year’s heart-wrenching Christmas ad which followed the delightful bears through their relationship, as they wait for each other year after year, until it finally ends (with us sobbing…) as they are reunited with the extended family and return to their human selves.
The new ad will resonate with anyone making similar journeys home for the festive season. And Heathrow certainly sees its fair share of passengers over the festive season.
By the way, watch out for the mistletoe on the plane sequence, it’s a cute touch.
