‘Dig for ancient Viking treasure at the Dublinia Big Dig’
Put your hard hat on and get your hands dirty to experience life as an Archaeologist.
Come and join the Big Dig in the grounds of Dublinia from the 12th to the 19th of April where visitors will get to take part in our very own simulated archaeology excavation.
It promises to be a fun packed family event where children will get a chance to discover how archaeologists excavate and hopefully find some artefacts and treasures of their own.
Suitable for age 7 years+
Dublinia, located at the crossroads of the medieval city at Christchurch, is history brought to life in an exciting way for all to engage, learn and share. With our four exciting exhibitions, you can visit Viking and Medieval Dublin, see Archaeology as a History Hunter and climb the medieval St Michael’s Tower, as well as events and showcases throughout the year, including Family First Saturdays, a series of dedicated events for families on the first Saturday of every month. All events are included in the Dublinia admission price with no booking.
