World Down Syndrome Day (Down Syndrome Limerick)
March 21, 2021Free
Down Syndrome Limerick are celebrating World Down Syndrome Day on 21st March. 21/03 is symbolic as it represents the 3rd copy of chromosome 21, otherwise known as Trisomy 21 or Down syndrome. People without Down syndrome only have two so take this day to celebrate that little bit extra! World Down Syndrome Day is about celebrating differences, inclusion, diversity and acceptance. One of the fun ways that it is celebrated is by asking people to Rock their Socks. Wear colourful, funky or mismatched socks. Share your pictures with Down Syndrome Limerick by tagging them on social media.
Schools, clubs and businesses can get involved. And if you would like to support the work that Down Syndrome Limerick do in providing services to people with Down syndrome you can donate at https://www.idonate.ie/donation_widget/register-donor-anonymous.php?pid=1602
