Soy Pumpkin Seed Recipe
Ingredients
- Pumpkin seeds
- Soy sauce
- Garlic powder (optional)
Method
- Preheat oven 225F/120C/gas mark 12. Wash pumpkin seeds and pat dry with some kitchen roll
- Soak the seeds in a bowl in a little soy sauce for an hour
- Sprinkle with garlic powder (optional) and spread the seeds on a non-stick baking sheet or a baking sheet with parchment paper
- Place in the oven and after 1/2 hour turn the seeds over and roast for another 30 – 60 minutes, turn again if needed.
Butter-Roasted Pumpkin Seed Recipe
Ingredients
- Pumpkin seeds
- 2 tbsp melted butter or 2 tbsp olive oil
- Salt (can be seasoned salt or lo-salt)
- Sugar
Method
- Toss seeds in a bowl with the melted butter (or oil) and salt.
- Spread the seeds in a single layer on a baking sheet and bake for about 45 minutes or until golden brown; stir occasionally.
- Sprinkle a little bit of sugar on while hot (optional)
