History of Killowen
Killowen Yogurt is made by Nicholas and Judith Dunne at Green Valley Farm in Courtnacuddy, Enniscorthy, Co. Wexford. The 200 acre farm has been in the Dunne family for over 200 years, during that time dairying has always been to the fore ground thereby building a very prestigious herd of cows. The unique taste of Killowen is produced using the smooth rich milk from their farm at the foothills of the Blackstairs Mountain.

They are currently using 15% of their milk for yogurt and the balance goes to Wexford creamery for liquid milk and cheese.
Killowen Yogurt currently employs 4 full- time and 3 part – time people. Pauline Dunne (Nicholas’ sister) joined the company in 2006 and looks after Sales and Marketing.
They distribute to all the Supermarkets in the South East including Super Valu, Dunnes and Tesco, and to a number of independent stores in Dublin which includes Nolan’s Clontarf, Morton’s Ranelagh and Donnybrook Fair.
They are hoping to get listed in all the larger supermarkets in the coming months and go on sale nationwide with new branding and packaging.
They supply Superquinn with their SQ Yogurt in glass jars, 6 varieties one of which the Blackcurrant won a Gold Medal at Blas na hEireann
