Now in its fifth year, Shannon Airport’s Santa Flights 2017 will take place on December 2nd and 3rd.
Over 2,000 children and their parents and guardians will be carried 15,000ft into the skies to meet Santa, in what has now become one of the most anticipated seasonal events for children around the country.

How Can I Apply for the Santa Flights?
With demand for seats far outweighing availability, there is a new lottery system in place for tickets. A €1 per seat application fee will apply to enter this year’s lottery, and if you win the lottery no other charges will apply.
The lottery system is now live (click here to apply), and will close on Monday November 20th at 3pm. Make sure you apply now to be in with a chance for this once in a lifetime opportunity. Winners will be notified by text on November 22nd.
All profits raised from the event will go to Shannon Group’s designated charities for 2017 – the Cahercalla Community Hospital & Hospice, Ennis and Home Share Clare.
It’s important to note that bookings are confined to a maximum of six (with no more than two adults allowed in any group of six) to ensure as many children as possible can avail of the very special Christmas treat.

What Happens On the Day?
Starting with Mrs Claus and her team at check-in, families will be treated to a really festive experience. Expect to see dancing elves, games and treats in the lounge before take-off, and keep an eye out for Scrooge who will be checking if passengers are naughty or nice before boarding their flight!
Once on board, Santa’s elves will get you all settled comfortably before Santa makes a mid-air ‘sleigh to wing transfer’ to join the girls and boys on board. The Santa Flight itself lasts approximately 30 minutes, and each child will receive a small gift from Shannon Airport upon landing.
