Our feeling is that many on-site summer camps will not take place but providers will replace those with online summer camps and classes. As we near the Summer and businesses begin to open up many parents are facing the prospect of getting back to work while the kids are on holidays. Traditionally they would have booked summer camps to coincide with their working hours, but this year is going to be different. What are the options for parents?
Online Summer Camps in Ireland for Kids & Teens
Alliance Française Online French Language Summer Camps for Kids & Teens
Dates & Times: June 29th to August 21st Monday to Friday with times depending on type of camp booked.
Get the kids (and teens) out of bed this summer with an Alliance Française online French Summer Camp! All camps are facilitated by native French speakers and children are welcome regardless of their level of French. Teen camps compliment current secondary school curriculum.

Anyone4Science Online Summer Camps 2020
Dates & Times: June 29th to August 28th 2020, Monday to Friday from 10am to 10.45am or 12pm to 12.45pm
Anyone4Science are delivering their online summer camps for kids and teens through Zoom and Facebook for summer 2020. They will post a pack of specialist materials to each of the participants in advance of their camp.
For children aged 7 to 12 there will be Harry Potter themed science camps in addition to regular science camps.
They are planning to have some locations open in August in Dublin, Cork & Wicklow all adhering to social distancing and safety guidelines issued by the government.

I-LOFAR Virtual Astro Camps for Teens
Dates & Times: July & August 2020
The AstroLands Team at I-LOFAR are delighted to be bringing their new online Astro Camps about all things space to a computer screen near you! Explore the Universe, learn what’s so special about our Sun, and discover what it’s like to live in space during these week-long camps. The camps have limited places and are suitable for teens of all ages who have an interest in space.

Cinnire Cian Gaeltacht at Home – Online Irish Language Summer Camps & Classes
Dates & Times: From June 8th to July 24th (2 week slots, 1 hour daily). Times dependent on dates booked.
Cinnire Cian offers an alternative to the traditional Gaeltacht summer camp. Classes are available for all levels of Irish from 1st to 6th year and each course costs €100 per student.
Camps include 2 weeks online lessons, scheduled for the same time daily. Each one is limited to 10 students. In addition to the online tutoring, students will be given comprehensive course notes and key study tips to succeed in exams of all types.

Athletics Ireland, Online Training
Dates: Summer 2020
Athletics Ireland are currently working on an online summer camps program for children and teens that they can log in to follow.
They are hoping to run their Summer Camps programme in participating venues around Ireland this summer. The camps will adhere to social distancing and safety guidelines from the government.

WhizzKids Discover IT Virtual Summer Camps 2020
Dates & Times: June, July & August 2020, 1 hour per day for 5 days.
WhizzKids are delivering virtual summer camps on Zoom this summer 2020. The camps will be a combination of online tuition and access to a digital skills classroom.

Healthy Ever After Online Cookery Camps for Kids
Dates & Times: Currently running every Tuesday and Thursday at 4pm sharp
Healthy Ever After have moved their kids healthy cooking classes online! Now everyone can join in and learn how to cook, no matter where you are in the country! Best of all, the numbers of chefs per household is not limited! Once you pay for the 4 week course, everyone in the house can join in.

Cyber Safe Ireland Cybersafe Bootcamps For Kids
Dates & Times: 11.30am-12pm M-F The webinars will be running in the weeks beginning June 8th, 15th, 22nd, 29th, July 13th & 20th.
Cyber Safe Ireland are running a series of live webinars for children this summer beginning June 8th. 30 minute sessions from Monday to Friday for children aged from 3-6th class at 11.30am each day led by an expert CyberSafeIreland trainer delivered via secure online platform.

Cookalicious Online Cookery Camps for Teens
Dates: June 23rd to 25th 2020, 11.30am to 1pm daily
Spark an interest in cooking and give your teen a skill for life with these online cookery camps. Day 1 is Italian, day 2 is street food and day 3 is snacks & healthy treats.

Project Fashion Online Summer Camps
Dates: From June 29th, 5 day camps 10am to 11.30am
The Project Fashion online zoom virtual summer camps are non sewing, interactive camps for boys and girls aged 9 to 16 years.

Starcamp Virtual Summer Camps
Dates: From July 6th 2020
These 90 minute virtual summer camps can be accessed on 5 consecutive days throughout July and August. Best of all, the whole family can tune in and enjoy music, entertainment, magic, singing, drama, comedy and much more. Suitable for ages 4+.

TheatreworX Drama and Dance Summer Camps

TheatreworX is offering Zoomer Camps with dance, drama, singing & loads of fun for ages 3-12 (Tots & Juniors) as well as Zoomer Dance Intensives for age 12+ and Masterclasses with special guest stars.

The Bunnery Cooking and Baking Summer Camps
Dates: weekly in July and August
Week long camps for 7-12 years with fun and interactive cooking/baking class live on Zoom each day from 10.30-12.00. Each day Catriona from The Bunnery will cook/bake one savoury item and one sweet item, for example, sausage rolls and cookies. By following along, your child will learn some great new recipes along with developing their mathematical, comprehension and fine motor skills without even knowing it.

Birr Castle Nature Detectives Summer Camps, Offaly
Dates & Times: July 6th to 9th 2020, 10.30am to 2pm
Birr Castle demesne will re-open to visitors on June 8th, in line with government guidelines. They are hoping to run their popular Nature Detective Summer Camps in July with safety guidelines in place.

Kellogs GAA Cúl Camps are currently scheduled to go ahead this summer 2020. They have camps taking place in all 32 counties in Ireland and each child will receive a kit to wear to camp each day closer to the start date.

WhizzKids are taking bookings for summer camps in venues in Dublin, Wicklow, Cork, Galway, Kildare, Tipperary, Athlone & Limerick for summer 2020. Camps will take place according to the strict guidelines set out by the government.

Let’s Go Activity Summer Camps Nationwide

Let’s Go are currently looking at running summer camps in venues nationwide during late July and August. They are working on a program that will allow for safe social distancing while still enabling the children to learn and have fun.

Intersport Elverys FAI Summer Soccer Schools Nationwide
Dates: June 29th to August 21st 2020 (provisional dates only)
The team at Instersport Elverys FAI Summer Soccer Schools are currently working on putting summer camps in place that meet government guidelines. They will not open their booking system until such a time as they have secured venues and dates.

Power Soccer Summer School, Galway
Dates & Times: 29th June to 7th August 2020
Power Soccer School of Excellence will run a limited number of outdoor Summer Camps in July and August. Camps are suitable for girls and boys aged 3 to 13 years and are currently set to run in Galway City in Knocknacarra & Renmore and in Galway County in Headford, Loughrea and Kinvara.

Brigit’s Garden & Down to Earth Forest School Nature Summer Camps, Galway
Dates & Times: July 13th to August 14th, 10am to 1.30pm daily
Brigit’s Garden have teamed up with Down to Earth Forest School to facilitate their popular nature summer camps for summer 2020. The children will enjoy a variety of natural crafts, activities and games and will be smaller in size that usual. They are suitable for children aged 5 to 12 years with 2 different options available.

Canoeing Ireland Adventure Kayak Summer Camps, Dublin

Canoeing Ireland are planning to run their summer adventure kayak camps during July & August from their training centre on the Strawberry beds in Lucan. They do offer an early drop off and late pick up service, but do check when booking that this will be going ahead this summer.

The school of Irish archaeology are hoping to run some of their summer camps during August. This is contingent on the government roadmap for re-opening. The camps are suitable for children aged 7 to 12 years and are a great alternative to sports camps. And are perfect for those who love adventure and are curious about their past.

Pine Forest Art Summer Camps, Dublin

Rusheen Bay Watersports Camps, Galway
Dates: From June to August 2020
Offering windsurfing, kayaking and stand up paddle boarding classes, Rusheen Bay Watersports is open throughout the summer for kids and teens to get active on the water. All government guidelines will be observed and bookings must be made in advance.

Project Fashion Machine Sewing Summer Camps, Dublin, Navan, Kildare, Galway, Athlone, Mullingar, Wicklow
Dates & Times: From July 20th to August 21st 2020 (date depends on venue chosen) 1pm to 3pm Monday to Friday.
Boys and girls aged 9 to 16 years can get creative at the Project Fashion machine sewing camps. Attendees must be proficient at using and threading a sewing machine due to social distancing guidelines.
