Childrens Party Venues Limerick: "Clay Time – Party Time"

Looking for something different for childrens party venues Limerick? “Clay Time – Party Time” Children’s Ceramic Parties with Clare Jordan offer creative, fun parties for kids and teens. We caught up with owner Clare Jordan to find out more.

What is “Clay Time – Party Time”?

Clare Jordan Painting the ceramics“Clay Time – Party Time” offers your child the opportunity to share a fun, entertaining, creative ceramic party with their friends and family in a working studio, especially decorated for the party!

Over an hour and a half, I show and explain the basics of a ceramic / pottery studio, with instruction on skills to enable the creation of their own piece, which can be enjoyed for the future.

Using air dry clay, the children / adults enjoy the design and creation of their own pieces, which are left to dry at the studio for later collection and painting at your leisure with standard acrylic paint.

We also take time to cut the cake and sing happy birthday, etc. making sure everyone enjoys the party atmosphere.

“Clay Time – Party Time”  is a snapshot of the weekly “Clay Time” children’s ceramic class and the holiday craft camp “Kids Create”, which are also run at the Swallows Rest Studio.

Who are they for?

Children from 6 years to teens (we can accommodate younger siblings ) and of course the Mums & Dads, Grannies & Grandads !

ClayTime Childrens Ceramic Class-Birthday PartyWhy are they different from other birthday parties?

You get to “play with clay” ! The special thing about a “Clay Time” party is the creation of your own piece of ceramics in a fun, relaxed working studio, decorated for the special day, and the “big kids” can join in too!

Who are they?

Clare Jordan started “playing with clay” fulltime when she opened Clare Jordan Ceramics at Swallows Rest Studio in 2010. Having experienced the fun of creating unique handmade ceramics as her own hobby, she wanted to share this opportunity with others of all ages.

Tall Tales Towers SculptureShe now runs weekly ceramic classes for children – “Clay Time” and Adults – “Coffee & Clay”, with the addition of the “Dream & Do” workshop for those wanting a one off session.

The “Kids Create” craft camp is a collaboration with local silversmith, Forgotten Silver Jewellery, providing an unique craft camp, combining ceramics and silver smithing over the Easter and Summer holidays.

Clare’s welcoming, fun loving personality adds to her ability to explain and guide all ages in the skills required to design and create a ball of clay into their own work of art.

Just 10 mins from Limerick city, the studio rests in the quite countryside, where you can enjoy a cuppa while enjoying clay.
