The site is for everyone who loves stories and storytelling – this includes parents, children and grandparents. It also offers advantages to visually impaired users, with options to change font colours and backgrounds.
Why is it different from other story websites?
It is simple to navigate and easy to use.
You first decide if you want to Read, Hear, or See and Hear a story. Click on that section and then you can choose by title, age, theme or continent. After choosing a category, a page with the list of stories in that category appears and just click on the one you want. You can download the content from the site, both text and audio because almost all the stories are in the public domain. Save the text on your PC or save the audio and then put it on an MP3 for your kids at bedtime.
Additionally, visually impaired users, using speech programs or screen magnifiers, will find the design of the website is simple to navigate – you can find out what you want and get to it easily using your keystrokes to access links and headings.
