Arrive at the Enchanted Forest in Curraghchase Park and drive past the Gingerbread Houses on an adventure to see Santa in his living room. No presents will be given out but organisers suggest you hide some in the boot and after leaving the experience get the children to see if anything has magically arrived!

Galway has a brand new, outdoor, safe, socially-distanced Santa Experience guaranteed to restore Christmas cheer!

The historic outdoor courtyard through the arch of Áras na nGael on Dominic St has been transformed into a magical winter wonderland in preparation for the arrival of Santa AKA Daidí na Nollag on Thursday December 10th.

Not only is Santa able to fly around the world in a single night, but he is also a master of every language in the world, especially Irish and while he is in his temporary home on Dominic St, he is very much looking forward to chatting either as Gaeilge nó as Béarla to the children of Galway.

Family groups will be guided on a magical journey via a giant bauble, to a Christmas tree forest, home to a fairytale gingerbread house, which leads to Santa’s cabin, with fun and games with the elves along the way – try out your skill at catching a reindeer!  Once the whole family has had a chat and taken their family photo and received a gift from Santa, they can warm up afterwards with seasonal hot drinks.

Starting December 10th, tickets are on sale now for €15.00 for Children and €8.00 for adults (off peak – Thursdays & Fridays) & €15.00 at peak times (Sat & Sun), infants go free from

Please note that tickets MUST be purchased in advance for a specific time slot.

This experience runs within current COVID 19 regulations and is operated in a family group system which ensures that groups do not intermingle. Staff and guests (aged 13 and over) wear face coverings. Hand sanitiser is provided and queuing is minimised. Contact tracing is assured and social distancing is built in, yes, even with Santa!

Mobile Santa, Galway City & County

Santa is taking to the road in his mobile grotto and will be visiting towns around Galway city and county this December. All visits to Santa must be booked in advance. Along with his mobile grotto Santa will be bringing along his Santa’s Supercar, a Lamborghini Avenador, and children will be able to take a picture beside the car.

Jervis Shopping Centre, Dublin is open from 9am-9pm from December 1st-23rd, and the new Magical Santa Grotto is an experience for all the family to enjoy after a tough year of restrictions and rules. On arrival to the grotto, the elves will be on hand to safely meet families and will share some magical tricks with all the boys and girls who visit. Families then journey through the grotto to greet Santa at the end and receive a gift and a socially distant photograph.

With increased space within the grotto to facilitate social distancing, hand sanitizing stations, maximum capacity limits, ventilation systems, clear screens and an electrostatic spray system, parents can relax knowing that children can visit Santa in the safest way possible.

All visits to Santa must be pre-booked to avoid queues in the centre and there will be no walk-in slots available.

Nore Valley Park, Kilkenny

Nore Valley Park in Kilkenny are offering safe, socially distanced, Santa Visits at teh Medieval Mile Museum this December 2020. All visits must be booked in advance.
