Favourite Out and About Trips in and around Dublin North

Kick up the Prom

Start your walk at Clontarf Promenade.  Pop onto Dollymount beach to tread the sands and collect shells if the tide is out. Fancy some bird watching, then stroll up to Bull Island, a delightful nature reserve just 2 minutes from the beach!  Then head back to St Anne’s Park for a bit of football/cone collecting with the kids. (playground is under reconstruction).

To Howth and back Drive out to the charming fishing village of Howth or take the Dart (the kids will love this!). Have a leisurely stroll along the pier, treat the kids to an ice-cream and if you are lucky you may spot a Dolphin or two! Then walk to the playground and finally when the kids are hungry and tired, buy some tasty fish to cook at home or cheat and buy some good old fish and chips at Beshoffs! Either way, a fantastic end to a great day!

We love Malahide Start your trip by visiting the old castle and enjoy a coffee and sticky bun in the café after. Go for a leisurely stroll in the vast green areas and let the kids run around in the fresh air or play a spot of football. Then head straight to one of the best playgrounds Dublin North has to offer and enjoy a picnic with the kids.
