Halloween Party at The Little Gym

Ghosts, ghouls, and monsters…oh my! Come by The Little Gym in your fancy dress costumes to celebrate the nighttime of fun, games, tricks & treats. Boo!

A Trip to the Wax Museum

The Chamber of Horrors will be brought to life!  Real live characters telling stories of Count Dracula & Frankensteins monster. The count lies sleeping in his coffin & will come alive before your very eyes!! Spooky!

Halloween at the Chocolate Warehouse

For a truly tempting treat during mid-term – the Chocolate Warehouse are having 2 hour interactive Chocolate Workshops.  Walk down Spooky Lane if you dare before viewing the mini chocolate factory.  Visitors get to decorate & package chocolates to take home!

Seamus Ennis Cultural Centre

Get spooky this Halloween and make your own Spider Web decoration for your house using willow, twine and loads of spiders and decorations.  Or why not try Pumpkin Carving on 29th October – each child will carve a pumpkin for their doorstep using stencils.

Happy Hauntings is at the Butlers Chocolate Experience this Halloween from 26th October – 31st October.  This ghostly gathering promises to be frightfully enjoyable fun for all the family!  All visitors should come dressed in their scariest Halloween costume to be in with a chance to win a prize!


Pine Forest Art Centre are running their Halloween camp from 29th October – 1st November.  Suitable for children aged 5 -12.

UCD Sports are running their Halloween Camp again this year.  It promises to be a week full of Tricks & Treats, introducing sports/activities for kids in a safe and fun environment.

David Lloyd Riverview are running their popular Halloween camps.  Full of tricks and treats, including musical games, arts & crafts, costume competitions & prizes for the best dressed.


There are some interesting festivals happening around Dublin in October. The Bram Stoker Festival  is a 3 day festival for all the family with walking tours through the lane-ways and hidden steps of the Victorian macabre aspect of the city.  Plus literary workshops on horror writing suitable for teens and adults.

The Children’s Book Festival also takes place again this October, with many events taking place across Dublin.

Dublin Zoo’s annual Boo at the Zoo takes places on 27th & 28th October. Two fun filled days full of special tricks and treats for families and friends. Creepy arts and crafts, spine chilling keeper talks & spooky face painting.

Applegreen Motorway Service on the M1 Lusk are holding a free Family Fun Day on 27th October. With face painting, balloon modellers, childrens entertainers & spot prizes for the best Halloween costume – from 11am-3pm.

The National Print Museum are holding Mini Monster Printmaking.  Children will use their hands, craft paint & materials to print and create some fearsome mini-monsters! Suitable for ages 4-7.

See the fabulous display of decorated pumpkins at the Spooktacular Pumpkin Exhibition in the Botanic Gardens on 30th October.  Lots of additional fun family events such as Meet the Witch & Web of Wonder with some Spine-Chilling Storytelling!

    Any pumpkin patches to visit with the kids?

      There is traditionally a pumpkin patch in the walled garden in the visitors centre at the Phoenix Park. I havent seen it yet this year, but it has been there in previous years.
