Martin Waddell’s classic Owl Babies, Farmer Duck and Can’t You Sleep Little Bear are popular and lasting picture books for kids that are also all now available on DVD, so you can enjoy both the reading experience and then watch the story.

Books for 7 year olds
Hardback books at paperback prices, Mercy Watson to the Rescue and Mercy Watson Goes for a Ride are perfect for 7 year olds and up.
Allan Ahlberg’s The Children Who Smelled a Rat is another good choice for this age group.
