We like the look of GrittieGRIPS Fort Connectors Toy which is on Kickstarter at the moment. The toy promotes team work, STEM learning, self expression, and the return of an icon, the fort!
This campaign was cancelled by Claudia – here is a note to say why.
Mudcake was created from mom Claudia Truesdell’s love of designing and her desperate wish that the natural world will survive our species. Now she has come up with a novel idea, GrittieGRIPS.
GrittieGRIPS fort connectors are a toy that offers it all. Made to facilitate old-fashioned fort building for children ages 5 and up. The grips have a winning combination of strong webbing, stretchy elastic, and easy to close Velcro. They come in two lengths that are sized specifically for connecting fort fodder. The way they are used – slipping the end through the loop and cinching tight – is intuitive and simple for kids.
You can support Claudia’s project on Kickstarter from as little as $1 before Sunday June 28th.
Mudcake is a toy company with a simple mission: Engage children in creative play and nature. Earth is in need of creative problem solvers with a deep connection to, and love for, the natural world. By making products that encourage imagination and interacting with nature they hope to develop those connections in the next generation.
Claudia says she is “deeply happy when I am in nature and when I am making stuff. Making stuff in nature is even better.” She believes in the ‘no child left inside’ movement and designs tools to help people who also want to get out into the wild green yonder.
