Percy Jackson and the Lightning Thief

Percy Jackson is a young boy of twelve who has gone to five schools and is now in his sixth at Yancy’s Academy for troubled kids which is also a boarding school and everything is going well until he goes on a school trip to the museum and something happens that changes his life forever.

I liked this book because it has a lot of adventure in it and you learn a bit about Gods and also it has a lot of fighting which is very well described.

People say that Harry Potter was the best book of the century.I would have to argue that this book is better because while Harry Potter has lot’s of magic in it everybody can use the same things, however in the Percy Jackson books some people can do some things while others can do others so everyone’s individual.

This is the first book I’ve read by Rick Riordan and it will definitley not be the last.
