Skulduggery Pleasant

Skulduggery Pleasant by Derek Landy

Stephanie has always felt like she doesn’t belong, that she was different.

When her uncle dies she finds out that she is in fact…… different.

Thrown into the world of magic and mayhem Stephanie meets Skulduggery Pleasant: funny, witty and a detective. And he’s also dead.

Skulduggery Pleasant was one of the best books I’ve ever read. I thoroughly enjoyed the story and felt it was very well written with lots of jokes! I loved the characters and thought they had lots of personality. The story is never boring and I would highly recommend it! I felt throughout the book that I was actually there; fighting vampires and getting beaten up buy hollow men!

Rating: 10/10 I loved this book and I would definitely recommend it to anyone who enjoys fantasy thrillers!

Recommended age group: 9-14
