Youth Academy Summer Camp at St Angela’s College, Sligo

The Youth Academy Summer Camp at St Angela’s College, Sligo will provide primary school students with a unique experience of university life.

The Youth Academy Summer Camp at St Angela’s College is run in conjunction with NUI Galway and the Centre for Lifelong Learning. The Youth Academy is for high ability 4th, 5th and 6th class primary school students*. Places are extremely limited and are allocated on a first come first served basis. We would urge you to get your application in as soon as possible. Closing date for all applications is July 4th.

Youth Academy Summer CampsThe Youth Academy Summer Cam  at St. Angela’s College, Sligo will run for one week in July 2014. A fee of €120 per student applies for the week long camp. A limited number of Scholarships are available for people with medical cards providing free places.

  • Monday 21st July – 10.00am-1.00pm
  • Tuesday 22nd July – 10.00am-1.00pm
  • Wednesday 23rd July – 10.00am-1.00pm
  • Thursday 24th July – 10.00am-1.00pm
  • Friday 25th July- 10.00am-1.00pm with a graduation ceremony for students and family after class .

Students participate in one of these courses for the duration of the summer camp.

  • Medical Academy…What’s up doc?
  • Curious Chemist Programme- Discover your inner mad scientist

*Students must be in the top 5% based on standardised tests carried out annually in school. These are the SIGMA-T and MICRA-T ,Drumcondra tests or STEN scores. Proof of results is required before you are offered a place. Test results are generally found on school report cards or can be obtained from your school.
