Walk4familes Ronald McDonald House

On the September 10th & 11th 2016, The Ronald McDonald House will be holding its annual #Walking4Families event to raise money to build a new 53 Bedroom Ronald McDonald House alongside the New National Children’s Hospital. The Uillinn West Cork Arts Centre in Skibbereen have some fun Drama Summer Camps starting on August 2nd including The Rusty Frog Youth Theatre Camp and The Out of the Box Summer Camp.

Cork Craft and Design 2016 runs in venues across the city and county from August 2nd to September 4th 2016.

The annual Rosscarbery Family Festival will be held from August 6th to 14th. Events include outdoor theatre and music and fun for all the family.

The annual Moby Dick Family Festival takes place in Youghal from June 3rd to 5th 2016. This weekend of family fun includes many free events.

The Cork Harbour Festival is on from June 4th to 12th with over 50 events taking place on land and sea for all ages.

The 19th Innishannon Steam and Vintage Rally takes place over the June Bank Holiday weekend, June 5th & 6th. All proceeds raised will go to The Irish Cancer Society.

Empower, Uplift and Transform at the Infinite Arts Festival 2016 at Millstreet County Park on June 4th. Classes and demonstrations for children to grandparents and everyone in between!

Barnardos Big Toddle 2016

The annual Big Toddle fundraiser for Barnardos is back.A number of family attractions around the country are holding Big Toddle events and are inviting Ireland’s youngest fundraisers (and their families!) to come along and take on the challenge to help children their own age.

Open farms in Cork, Limerick, Dublin and Westmeath will be hosting the perfect family fun day out this June and July.           • Cork City are having a 2016 St Patrick’s Festival that begins on March 17th and runs until March 20th. The Cork City St Patrick’s Day Parade starts from The South Mall at 1pm and finishes on Merchants Quay. The theme this year is 1916 – The Legacy
          • The 2016 Cobh St Patrick’s Day Parade 2016 takes place on March 17th and starts at Cobh Heritage Centre at 3.30pm.
          • The 2016 Macroom St Patrick’s Day Parade will be part of a bigger St Patrick’s Festival Week 2016. With the theme ‘1916 to 2016 Centenary’
          • The 2016 Castletownbere St Patrick’s Day Parade starts at the Square and is part of the 2016 Beara Peninsula St Patrick’s Festival.
          • The 2016 Fermoy St Patrick’s Day Parade is the 33rd annual parade and takes place on March 17th from 11am from Cavanagh’s, Cork Road.
          • The 2016 Mallow St Patrick’s Day Parade starts at 2.30pm on March 17th from Mallow Town Park. There will be pre-parade entertainment from 1.45pm on Davis Street and Main Street. This year’s parade Grand Marshal is Liam Sheehan.

Take a Journey of Exploration this June Bank Holiday, May 30th to June 6th, at the CIT Blackrock Castle Observatory. 400 years of time travelling tales will be told is a family friendly show with plenty of extras for everyone to enjoy.

This June Bank Holiday, May 29th to 31st, head to Youghal for the Moby Dick Festival. With events for young and old, the festival celebrates the site where the Melville’s Moby Dick Novel was filmed.

The 18th Innishannon Steam and Vintage Rally takes place over the June Bank Holiday weekend, May 31st & June 1st.

The Cork Midsummer Festival takes place in Cork City from June 12th to 21st. The exciting festival will feature music, art, dance, theatre and has a full programme of family events running throughout.

The Balitmore Pirate Festival runs from June 19th to 21st. With pirate themed attractions and events for everyone in the family.

The annual Shandon Street Festival & Food Fair takes place on June 20th. The festival will be packed with free family events and activities.

To commemorate the sinking of the Lusitania 100 years ago, on May 7th there will be events for all the family at The Old Head of Kinsale from 2pm to 5pm.

May 7th is National Poetry Day and to celebrate Libraries across the county will take part in a Poetry Wave with events running throughout the day.

Enable Ireland are holding a Family Fun Day Fundraiser on May 24th at Lifetime Lab in Cork.

Oliver the Musical takes place in Macroom 1st, 2nd 3rd May at 8.00pm and Matinee: Sunday 3rd May at 3.00pm

There are Lusitania Exhibitions and Commemorative Events in Kinsale, The Old Head, Cobh and Courtmacsherry to mark the anniversary of the ship’s sinking during the First World War, with re-enactments including a twilight Flotilla.

The 2015 Macroom St Patrick’s Day Parade starts at 3.30pm on March 17th. There is a St Patrick’s Festival on March 14th & 15th

The 2015 Castletownbere St Patrick’s Day Parade starts at 3pm and there will be Music in the Square from 2pm.

The 2015 Fermoy St Patrick’s Day Parade is the 32nd annual parade and takes place on March 17th.

‘Walk of Youth’ is the theme for the 2015 Mallow St Patrick’s Day Parade which starts at 2.30pm on March 17th.
