St Patrick’s Weekend that means it’s the middle of March!!! The year is speeding up. Are you looking for activities for the kids in your area this St Patrick’s weekend? Here are some of the events that caught our eye in the South East over the St Patrick’s weekend.
St Patrick’s Parades in Carlow
Carlow Town – parade begins at 3.30pm and runs along Kennedy Street, Barrack Street, Burren Street and Tullow Street.

Kilkenny St Patrick’s Day parade begins at 3.30pm and runs along Kennedy Street, Barrack Street, Burren Street and Tullow Street
TradFest Kilkenny 2014
TradFest Kilkenny 2014 takes place over St Patricks Weekend (Friday 14th – Monday 17th March) and will be a feast of traditional music, song & dance. There are children’s workshops and a screening of The Secret of Kells.
St Patrick’s Parades in Wexford
Gorey – The 2014 Gorey St Patrick’s Day Parade is on at 3.00pm on Monday17th March.
Wexford Town – The parade will take place on 17th March. It will assemble from the Fisher’s Rowe area up to the Maudlintown area at 10.15am and move off at 11.00am from the junction at Fisher’s Rowe, William’s Street. The Reviewing Stand will be located on the Quay Front adjacent to the Bridge.
Children’s Entertainment on St Patrick’s Day at Wexford Races
There is Children’s Entertainment during the races at Wexford Races on Monday, 17th March from 2.30 pm with Bouncy Castles and an Obstacle Course.
St Patrick’s Parades in Waterford
Waterford City – starts at 1pm from The Glen and finishes on Parnell Street.
