Things to do with Kids in Sligo, Roscommon, Mayo, Donegal & Leitrim this St Patrick’s Weekend

St Patrick’s Weekend that means it’s the middle of March!!! The year is speeding up.  Are you looking for activities for the kids in your area this St Patrick’s weekend?  So let’s see what is on in your area for kids and the family to get up to! Here are some of the events that caught our eye for the St Patricks weekend.

St Patricks Parades in Donegal

The St. Patrick’s Festival in Buncrana takes place from Friday the 14th to 17th March.

In Letterkenny there will be a traditional parade with bands, carnivals, floats etc. A lovely family day out that will have something for everyone. The Parade starts at 3pm on Monday 17th March preceded by entertainment on the viewing platform at Market Square. The parade makes its way from Pearse Road via Port Road, through Main Street past the viewing platform at Market Square to finish in Old Town.

St Patricks Parades in Sligo

In Sligo this year’s parade starts at 12 noon on Mail Coach Road and finishes at the Mercy Convent Gates on Monday 17th 2014. Come join us when the city bursts into life, jam packed with free family friendly events.

In Ballymote the St Patricks Day Parade on March 17th begins at 3.30pm and starts at Loftus Hall.

The Grange parade starts at 2 p.m.

St Patricks Parades in Leitrim

In Dromahair the St Patricks Day Parade will take place on Monday 17th March.

In Carrick on Shannon the parade will take place on Sunday 16th March at 1 pm

St Patricks Parades in Mayo

In Westport there are plenty of events and music throughout the weekend from Friday 14th until Monday 17th with this year’s parade beginning at 1.30pm on Monday 17th.

In Ballina there is a St Patricks Festival which things going on for everyone! From 5k Fun Runs to Leprechaun Treasure Hunts lots to do in Ballina from March 15th – 17th.

Ballycroy’s parade will take place at 1pm on St Patricks Day, ,starting point is Keane’s supermarket with refreshments in the community centre afterwards

The St Patricks Parade in Castlebar will take place on Sunday March 16th from 12 noon starting at McHale Road.

Kiltimagh’s parade will take place Sunday March 16th at 3pm

Ballycastle’s parade will take place on Monday March 17th after 11.30am Mass.

St Patricks Parades in Roscommon

In Roscommon on March 17th there will be parades in Boyle, Ballaghadereen & Castlerea.
