Easter Egg Hunts
Belvedere House Easter Egg Hunt, Westmeath
Belvedere will be hosting its annual Easter Egg Hunts on Easter Sunday & Easter Monday at 12 noon sharp on both days.
Thousands of eggs over two days (one hunt per day at 12 noon) with Golden Tickets with special prizes including 10 Belvedere Summer Passes for families.
The Egg Hunt starts at 12 midday each day and there are 3 different trails – under 5’s, under 10’s and over 10’s. Booking not necessary just be sure to be in plenty of time for 12 noon start. Advisable to be on site from 11:30 a.m.
Lullymore Heritage & Discovery Park, Kildare
Hop on over to the Lullymore Heritage and Discovery Park for a fun time celebrating the Easter Holidays. The Most Egg-citing Hunt of them all! Join the Easter Bunny for an “eggstra” special event where you have to find all the clues, solve Easter Bunny’s puzzle and collect your egg. There will also be prizes of larger eggs each afternoon in the Funky Forest Indoor Play area for everybody who has done the Egg Hunt!
To burn off lots of energy , there’s the “funky forest” indoor play centre with giant slide and ball pools, air hockey, fussball, cable run and pirate ship. There’s also a crazy golf course, large quality outdoor playground and train trip through the new Peatland Biodiversity Trail. The Egg Hunt runs for 7 days from 10:00am to 6:00pm – 19th April – 25th April 2014.
Glendeer Pet Farm, Westmeath
Glendeer Pet Farm host their annual Easter Egg Hunt over the Easter Weekend Sat 19th, Sun 20th & Mon 21st April. The Event takes place at 3pm each day. A fun filled day for all the family.

Free Pony Rides at The Irish National Stud & Gardens
If you have been wondering what to do with the kids this Easter then the Irish National Stud & Gardens is the perfect day out for you and your family. It is part of our national heritage and provides a unique opportunity for children to get close up to horses and wildlife in a relaxed and natural environment.
Free pony rides for kids will take place from 17th to 27th April and there’s also acres of woodland and lakeside walks and the beautiful Japanese gardens. New playground opening at Easter also, and the family friendly restaurant has home baking and locally served produce. Family ticket only €28 when booked online.
Ten14 at The Riverbank Arts Centre and Dunamaise Arts Centre
Join Moya Brennan, the voice of Clannad, and celebrated harper Cormac De Barra on a magical musical journey for everyone aged 4 to 104, on Thursday 24th April at The Riverbank in Kildare and on Tuesday 29th April at The Dunamaise Arts Centre in Portlaise.
World-famous Irish trad music legends Moya Brennan (Clannad) and Cormac De Barra (Harper) perform brand new music in this beautiful music show that they have created especially for children and families.
Commemorating 1000 years since the Battle of Clontarf, Ten14 uses gorgeous music and lyrics to evoke the adventures of our first High King, Brian Boru, and his love of the harp.
Midland Classical Youth at Birr Theatre
A unique chance to hear some of the finest young musicians of the future perform a repertoire of solo instrument and song. Following a generous bequest from the late Julia Trench, Birr Theatre & Arts Centre recently called for submissions from young musicians throughout the midlands, pursuing a professional performance career in instrument and voice, to apply for this Bursary. Those chosen to perform in this Awards concert with special guest appearance from Triona Marshall will appear in this special concert on Sunday 20 April at 8 pm.
