ODEON Cinemas are offering their ‘Summer of Fun’ package for families and we sent mum Orla along to find out more about it. Here’s what Orla thought of the experience:
Every summer, we make sure to visit the cinema. There are always summer family movies out and this year there’s a great line-up of children’s movies out including
- Roald Dahl’s classic The BFG
- Finding Dory, the follow up to Finding Nemo
- The Secret Life of Pets from the creators of Despicable Me
Cinemas are lovely places to go during summer, I find, as the little ones can have a little down time and let their imaginations flow. And I can put my feet up for a bit too!
I also like the fact that ODEON Cinemas are in locations where you can make a day of the family cinema experience and also stop off for a bite to eat or do a little shopping.
The ODEON Summer of Fun family packages which are on offer over the summer months are where families of 4 can enjoy film, food and drink all for €33 (families of three €29). This makes for a cinema trip at a really good price.
We went to see The Secret Life of Pets in the Blanchardstown ODEON Cinema, Dublin. It was a lovely movie to go and see, where we got to discover what exactly all our pets get up to when their owners are at work and school.
Max is the main character, a lovable rogue of a dog, adored by his owner Katie. His life is turned upside down when Katie brings home a huge dog called Duke and he eventually has to accept that he’s not the only dog in the world. It is set in the magically bustling landscape of Brooklyn, New York where all of these little pets have no shortage of furry friends to hang out with. It’s full of funny, endearing and very likeable characters as they took us on a gripping adventure around the streets of New York.
We loved the movie, it’s well worth a watch and we loved the whole ODEON ‘Summer of Fun’ cinema experience and most of all I liked knowing you had a fixed price for everything including food and drink.
The ODEON Cinema Summer of Fun Package runs until September 8th. The package can be bought at the cinema or online.
