18th century Westport House and its adjoining Pirate Adventure Park provide a unique mix of culture, fun and adventure for all members of the family.
Westport House creates a living documentation of 500 years of history with 30 rooms on show and 3 comprehensive exhibitions.
The Pirate Adventure Park located on the grounds offers hours of family fun and adventure. Adventure activities are provided by partners, The Adventure Islands and Adventure West.

This centre traces the history of Westport and the Clew Bay area from pre-Christian times to the present day. A wonderful display of artefacts, documents and photographs provide a basis for the presentation of local history, customs and traditions. A genealogical service for the Westport and Clew Bay area is also located here. Guided walks of the town of Westport are also available.
This is the longest off-road cycling and walking trail in Ireland.
Meandering along the old Westport / Achill railway line which closed in 1937, this 42km traffic-free and off-road route is ideal for getting out on a bike for a spin or stretching your legs.
Westport's new state-of-the-art skate park and games area is loacted right beside the Great Western Greenway at the junction of West road and Leenane road. In addition to the skateboarding area, this facility has an AstroTurf pitch which can be used for basketball, soccer, volleyball, rugby and Gaelic games. The area has ample seating and a car park, and is right beside recently extended Great Western Greenway.

Since 2010, surfing lessons are available from Westport town for individuals, families and groups, as well as Kids and Teens Summer Surf Camp. The small tours (14 people max.) are packed with energy, excitement and adventure on the beautiful west coast of Ireland and ensuring a welcoming experience.
