You wouldn’t necessarily peg a football megastar as a LEGO enthusiast, but David Beckham is exactly that. The dad-of-four has shared more than one Instagram build over the years, and one of the standouts was a mammoth 4,000-piece project he took on for his princess-mad daughter Harper: the LEGO Disney Castle.
Beckham shared a photo on Instagram of himself surrounded by all 4,080 pieces of the LEGO Disney Castle, captioned: “Page 1 of the Disney castle, 4000 pieces 490 pages of instructions I look confused but I’m so excited.”
A few days later, he posted a photo of the finished castle, captioned: “1am done… Someone’s gonna have a nice surprise in the morning 👶 zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz ❤️”
This wasn’t Beckham’s first big LEGO build shared with fans. Back in 2014, he told The Sunday Times that building LEGO helped him de-stress, saying it “helps to calm me down.” At the time, his project was the LEGO Tower Bridge set, a build of 4,287 pieces.
Even earlier, in 2010, Beckham took part in a live webchat with fans and spoke about his love of LEGO, having just finished the LEGO Taj Mahal – a huge 5,922-piece build. Sales of that set reportedly jumped after fans saw his finished model.
LEGO Sets for Adults
