Every year, Mykidstime asks parents and families across Ireland to nominate the charities closest to their hearts for our Charities of the Year initiative. For 2022, that call for nominations produced a wonderful response — and we’re delighted to share the shortlist that came out of it.
Twelve charities would go on to be selected from this shortlist, each receiving a full month of dedicated social media advertising support on Mykidstime, valued at €3,500, to help raise their profile and support their fundraising efforts throughout the year.
Here’s the shortlist that made it through to the final stage.

How the Charities of the Year Initiative Works
Each year, one charity from the final selection is spotlighted per month over 12 months. During their month, the charity receives a dedicated social media advertising package on Mykidstime, giving them extra reach to connect with families, share their story, and promote fundraising campaigns or events.
The shortlist above represents the charities that progressed furthest in the nomination process for the 2022 programme, ahead of the final 12 being confirmed.
Support Doesn’t Stop at the Shortlist
Even if a charity you nominated didn’t make the shortlist or the final 12, that doesn’t mean the support ends there. It has always been Mykidstime’s policy to help any charity get the word out about fundraising events or campaigns, regardless of where they placed in the nomination process.
If you’d like us to help spread the word about a charity’s event or campaign, simply email info@mykidstime.com with the details, and our team will do what we can to support it.
