Marks & Spencer’s DreamSkin® range was developed specifically with this in mind, following an 18-month development process and consultation with parents of children with sensitive skin.
Eczema is a skin condition that causes areas of the skin to become itchy, dry, cracked and sore. According to the Irish Skin Foundation, it can affect 1 in 5 children and 1 in 12 adults, disrupting sleep and causing real distress for the whole family.
While there’s no single known cause, common irritants include:

What Is the DreamSkin® Range?
The DreamSkin® range is made with an innovative polymer technology that has been medically proven to:

It can be hard to find clothing that’s comfortable and doesn’t irritate the skin further, which is why the DreamSkin® collection was such a welcome addition for parents of children with eczema and sensitive skin. It was also validated by the British Skin Foundation. The range includes a mix of babywear, nightwear and underwear, all designed to be gentle on already sensitive skin.
The clothes in the DreamSkin® range feature super-soft flat seams and printed care instructions instead of scratchy care labels. There are also clever integral scratch mitts built into infant sleepsuits across all sizes, and nickel-free popper fastenings. Underwear and pyjamas in sizes up to 16 years are made from soft cotton to help prevent rubbing on skin.

Responding to parents’ needs isn’t a new move for M&S. The retailer previously launched an Easy Dressing range, designed to be as inclusive as possible for children using wheelchairs, crutches and frames, or those with different needs.
While the Easy Dressing range looks just like the standard childrenswear range, a number of discreet differences make getting dressed and undressed less of a chore. These include flat seams, hidden care labels, poppers instead of buttons, Velcro closures, and discreet pockets for feeding tubes.
