Fancy a family camping trip without the faff of packing a tent, pitching poles in the rain, or hauling gear across a field? Westport House has a solution that’s ideal for camping-curious families who’d rather skip the setup: ready-pitched Bell Tents, all set up and waiting for you on the historic estate. All you need to bring is your bedding and the people you want to share it with.
Renting a Bell Tent on the Westport House Estate is a great option for anyone who loves the idea of a camping holiday but not the logistics. Every tent is pitched in advance and sits close to the estate’s camping facilities, so you can arrive, unpack, and get straight into holiday mode.

Each 5m basic Bell Tent comes equipped with:
- 2 double and 2 single air beds, sleeping up to 6 people (bring your own bedding)
- Kitchen and table equipment to cater for up to 6 people
- An interior light
- Access to free hot showers and bathrooms
- Electricity connection
- Wash-up area
- Recycling and rubbish facilities
Activities for All the Family
The caravan and camping facilities at Westport House sit among farmyard buildings and an orchard, giving the whole site a relaxed, rural feel. Campers also get to enjoy discounts on the estate’s own attractions, including:
- The Pirate Adventure Park, with slides, rides, trains and boats
- The Historic Westport House, with over 30 rooms to explore
- The Activity Centre, offering everything from archery to zorbing
- The Birds of Prey Centre, where you can get close to some magnificent birds
- The Carnival, which typically runs through the summer season and features a large Ferris wheel among its rides
- The Westport Train Tour, taking in the sights of the town
- Evening entertainment such as movies, go-karts, soft play and table tennis
- Gracy’s Bar & Café, serving wood-fired pizzas and a full dining menu, with live entertainment during the summer months
