Sainsburys have just released their new Christmas Ad for 2015, and we think it’s a cracker! Based on the loveable cat, created by author Judith Kerr, Can Mog Save the Day in the Sainsbury Christmas Advert: Mog’s Christmas Calamity? Then decide for yourself if you think this beats the John Lewis Ad and wins the battle for Best Christmas Advert 2015!
Narrated by Emma Thompson, this year’s 3 minute Christmas Advert, Mog’s Christmas Calamity, features Mog the cat setting off a chain of unfortunate events which almost ruin Christmas for the Thomas family. Can she pull it all back to save the day?
Well known author and creator of the clumsy cat, Judith Kerr said she thought she would never see Mog in 3D. It is the first story in the series since 2002, when the feline died of old age in the 16th title, “Goodbye, Mog”.
All proceeds from the book, which is sold exclusively in Sainsburys, will go to Save the Children’s efforts to improve child literacy.
Watch out for Judith herself making a guest appearance in the advert too. Christmas, after all, is for sharing.
Lots of people on social media seem to think so, as they took to the online airwaves and got the #mogthecat hashtag trending.
Over to you! What do you think? Which Christmas Advert is your favourite – John Lewis or Sainburys?
