#1. Glenteenassig Woods
Glenteenassig Woods is located just off the Tralee to Dingle road at Castlegregory. It offers spectacular walking surrounded by lakes and Annascaul Mountain.
There’s a boardwalk around the upper lake and some picnic benches where you can sit and enjoy the scenery on warmer days — a great spot for a family break in the fresh air.

#2. Muckross House and Gardens
Muckross House & Gardens in Killarney has lovely easy walks from the house down to Killarney Lake, ideal for smaller children, with paths that are buggy-friendly throughout. Kids love running in and around the rhododendron bushes, and you can round off the walk with lunch in the on-site café.
For a longer walk, head from the House to Torc Waterfall, a trail made up of paved and clay walkways. The loop is approximately 4km and is signposted off the main Muckross Lake Loop walk. Keep an eye out for the deer and squirrels that roam freely through the park.
