#3. Quick Homemade Burgers

It’s very quick to make home made burgers. You can have your patties prepped the evening before so all you have to do is grill them when you get home.

Just mix your chosen minced meat beef or turkey or lamb or pork or chicken with an egg and a handful of breadcrumbs. Or use a tin of mixed beans blitzed in the food processor if you want to go veggie. Then add optional extras like

  • finely chopped onion or shallot
  • whatever herbs you have
  • a small spoonful of mustard
  • some grated apple if doing pork burgers
  • a dash of Worcester sauce

Then wash your hands and get stuck into the mix to make your burger patties. Clodagh McKenna has a nice recipe for mini burgers which kids love too.
