Tomato & Basil Sauce for Pasta

Sometimes you need a quick and easy pasta sauce, this Tomato & Basil Sauce takes less than 30 minutes to cook up and it’s guaranteed to go down well with kids:

Ingredients

tomatoes

4 tblsp olive oil
2 cloves of garlic, finely chopped
2 x 400g tins of chopped plum tomatoes
A handful of fresh basil finely chopped
Salt and Pepper

Method

Heat the oil in a frying pan, add the garlic and sweat until soft over a low heat, taking care not to colour.

Add the tomatoes, basil salt and pepper and simmer for 25 min.

Serve with your favourite pasta shapes.
