For kids, Easter is a time for egg hunts, chocolate bunnies and candy chicks, but it can definitely lead to a sugar overload! Protect those pearly whites and give something that lasts longer than a few minutes with one of these non chocolate Easter gifts.
If your house is anything like mine, the number of Easter eggs received has significantly increased. In the weeks leading up to Easter, lovely chocolate eggs are received from friends and family, grandparents, teachers, coaches, parents – and of course the Easter Bunny. We’ve also had Easter eggs given out in place of party bags at any birthday parties that fall in March/April, which means the chocolate fest runs for weeks!
Let’s be real – I’m not really complaining, because there is of course the parent code that allows us to secretly taste-test the Easter stash, but by the time Easter weekend actually arrives, I do get a bit twitchy at the sheer volume!
Since I love a gift that lasts longer than the seconds it takes to scoff a chocolate egg, here are some of my favourites. Now you can leave the chocolate-giving to the Easter Bunny and instead consider one of these fun non chocolate Easter gifts – from LEGO to party games and books to bunnies, these ideas will keep both parents and kids happy.
