What’s the Minions movie about?
The story begins at the dawn of time. Starting out as tiny single-celled yellow organisms, the Minions evolve through the ages, always on the hunt for the most despicable master to serve. From the dinosaurs to Napoleon, they never quite manage to keep a boss for long – and without anyone to follow, the Minions fall into a slump.
That’s where Kevin comes in. He has a plan to turn things around, and along with teenage rebel Stuart and the endlessly lovable Bob, he sets off to find the Minions a new evil leader to follow.
Their journey takes them from icy Antarctica to 1960s New York City and eventually to mod London, where the trio comes face to face with their biggest challenge yet: helping the world’s first-ever female super-villain, Scarlet Overkill, while trying to save all of Minionkind along the way.
