Children’s playgrounds are in almost every town in Co. Clare so you can be sure that you are never far away from one. Most of them are enclosed modern playgrounds equipped with swings, slides, climbing frames etc.

Ballynacally Playground

Ballynacally Playground is a small but nicely designed play park amongst the trees, totally enclosed with gates at front. There’s a play structure with slide, house, train, seesaw, two springers, small roundabout and spinner bowl. It’s perfect for smaller kids.

Corofin Playground

Built near the GAA pitch, the Corofin Playground is enclosed with fencing. Equipment includes: small climbing structure for little ones with slide, 3 types of roundabouts, two baby swings, butterfly and chicken springer, large climbing structure with slide, rope bridge, fireman’s pole, hopscotch, springer seesaw, and zip line.

Cratloe Woods Spraoi sa Choill Playground

You’ll find Spraoi sa Choill playground in Cratloe Woods, perfectly integrated into the woods and extending to over an acre. They have used timber from the wood, there are eco-friendly slides, climbing frames and swings. Your kids will also enjoy playing outside the playground and exploring the woods.

Ennis Playground at Tim Smythe Park

This park spans behind Ennis courthouse up towards Fairgreen. There’s plenty to do for kids of all ages. There’s a towering play structure for bigger kids with slides and plenty to climb on as well as a smaller structure for the little ones.

Other equipment includes swings, parrot see saw, spring rocker, and roundabout. For even older kids/teens, there’s an adventure playground with cable runway, drop shot and trim trail. There’s also a track and pitch which are nice for a run around.

Ennis – Lees Road Amenities Park

Great all round facility with a playground for the toddlers and play equipment for older kids. You’ll find a variety of equipment including junior and senior swings, ladder slide, pony and elephant springers. The needs of children with disabilities have also been incorporated into the design.

Kildysart Playground

The toddler area at Kildysart Playground is fenced in separately from older kids play area and it includes wooden train, ramps, and bridges, slide, baby swings, springers, and benches.

The play area for the older ones includes a large rope pyramid, springer seesaw, a few types of roundabouts, nest swing, swings, chair swing, climbing bars, and large slide.

Kilkishen Playground

At Kilkishen you’ll find a very colourful playground with an assortment of roundabouts, slides, swings, springer seesaw, nest swing, and more. This playground has a unique climbing structure with stacked 10-sided shapes (a decagon?).

Killaloe Playground

Excellent playground with various kinds of slides, springer seesaws, swing, roundabouts and the favourite for all – the zip wire! Located beside the Tennis Club in Killaloe there is also free parking.

Lahinch Playground

A state of the art playground which has a clearly defined Junior and Senior area with various playsurfaces. Best of all it has a Net-Scape and Cableway which are a major attraction.

Lisdoonvarna Playground

One of the largest playgrounds with springer seesaws, nest swing, roundabouts of various kinds, slides and climbing structures for all ages, a log playhouse, large rope pyramid, balance beams, bars, etc. There are pitches and short walking paths nearby.

Lissycasey Playground

This playground has loads on offer for big and small kids. There are two play structures, a large one for big kids and a small one for the little ones, springer see saws, nest swing, zip line, swings, a playhouse, a spinning wheel and much more. A secret gem!

Mountshannon Playground

This playground caters well for both small kids and big kids. The little kids can enjoy their own slide, seesaw and rockers, the bigger kids have the spider climbing frame, spinning wheel, swings and there are a few benches and tables for picnics.

The beauty of this one is that is beside Aistear Iniscealtra, with its amazing Labyrinth, outdoor “Wee Library” and you can also take a walk to the harbour to enjoy the stunning views across the Lough Derg.

O’Briensbridge Playground

This is a colourful playground with equipment for both the smaller kids and the not so small kids. It is fully enclosed and there are also some great walks along the river nearby so you can turn a visit to O’Briensbridge Playground into a fun day out.

Quin Playground

The Quin Playground equipment includes rope pyramid, carousel, springer seesaw, climbing structure with slide, nest swing, regular swings and baby swings.

Scariff Playground

Scariff Playground located in a beautiful setting with with various equipment for ages 0 to 12. There is ample parking. It’s located a little outside the town so it’s nice and quiet too – except for the kids of course!

Shannon Playground

Very colourful, fenced in playground with plenty to keep all ages happy. There are various structures to climb, large rope pyramid, nest swing, springers, slide, large and small swings, lots of benches, and more.

Sixmilebridge Playground

This playground is behind the Bridge Kids building and is enclosed with fencing. You’ll find plenty to do at this playground! There’s a large climbing structure with ropes to climb, two slides, a hammock swing, spring car and motorcycle, playhouse, springer seesaw, spinner bowl, small swing and baby swing, hopscotch, standing carousel, larger swings, rock-it platform and benches.

Tulla Playground

Tulla Playground is surrounded by high walls with a handy parking area that conveniently overlooks the playground. It has a good variety for toddlers and older children including: two baby swings, two regular swings, nest swing, seal and pig springer, small climbing structure with hamster tube and small slide, springer seesaw, roundabout, standing roundabout, large climbing structure with slide, rope bridge and fireman’s pole, and zip line. My kids particularly like talking to each other through the telephone tube.
