It’s week 1 of Survive the Summer with Mykidstime. Each week we’ll bring you ideas for summer activities for kids, and this week we’re doing some Super Fun Superhero Activities for Kids!

Sign up for our free Newsletter stuffed full of ideas, competitions and offers. PS Did we mention it’s free?

Have some super fun with our 5 superhero activities and projects!

#1. Superhero Bookmarks

superhero activitiesThese Avengers bookmarks from Crafts by Amanda are made from some jumbo craft sticks and paint. You can draw the characters free hand or there are printable instructions too. Choose from The Hulk, Captain America and Iron Man – or make all three!

And if you like other superheroes better, you can always adapt the instructions for your favourite.

#2. Superhero Masks

super hero masksNext up, make a cool superhero mask! We found two great places with easy instructions to make your masks.

The first is a set of 4 different supermask printables from Firstpalette.com. All you have to do is download, print, colour, punch holes and add some elastic.

If you want something a bit more substantial why not try this cute felt mask from Hazelnutgirl. You’ll need some felt and to do a bit of sewing, but it’s a great project for kids to practise sewing.

(You can buy HeatnBond instead of the WonderUnder that is mentioned in the project, available from Craftersbasket.com in Sligo)

#3. Superhero Cuffs

superhero activitiesMake yourself some superhero superpower cuffs out of some simple materials including a toilet paper roll, paint and glitter.

These easy instructions for fun superhero cuffs are on the No Time for Flashcards website.

And don’t forget to decide what superpower you have to magic into your cuffs!

#4. Superhero Identity Card

superhero activitiesWho is the real person behind your Superhero persona?! Download and print out our Superhero Identity Card. Then fill it out so we can find out more about the powers you have and the villain you fight!

#5. Superhero Photo Booth Picture

superhero activitiesGet the paints out and make yourself a Superhero cut out picture! Here’s a cute example we found on Flikr (eatprayparty).

Once you have your cuffs and masks all you need is a cape and you can spend an afternoon doing superhero photo booth fun.
