About The Present

The Present was directed by Jacob Frey as a graduation film for the Institute of Animation, Visual Effects and Digital Postproduction at the Filmakademie Baden-Württemberg in Ludwigsburg, Germany. It’s based on a comic strip by the Brazilian artist Fabio Coala Cavalcanti.

The film has been screened at more than 180 film festivals worldwide and has picked up over 50 awards along the way — a lovely piece of storytelling in just a few minutes, and one well worth sharing with your own family.
