Irish mother-and-son LEGO artist duo the Farrells have created a jaw-dropping model replica of the Subtropical Swimming Paradise pool at Center Parcs Longford Forest — and honestly, we can’t stop looking at it.
We know, we know — this one started life as a bit of a PR moment. But we’re suckers for anything LEGO here at MyKidsTime, and this build is too impressive not to share. Center Parcs teamed up with internationally renowned LEGO artists, mother and son duo Jessica and Faolán Farrell from Rathangan, Co. Kildare, to create a show-stopping LEGO version of the resort’s Subtropical Swimming Paradise.

The 2m x 1.5m LEGO model took 105 days and around 840 hours to build, using 55,667 LEGO bricks. It captures all the detail of the Subtropical Swimming Paradise, which opened at the Longford Forest resort in 2019 as Ireland’s first subtropical swimming paradise, complete with tropical plants and a heated pool complex.
Jessica Farrell explains that her love of LEGO began when she was just four years old. “When I was asked by Center Parcs to collaborate on something so exciting, and to do so with my own son, Faolán, I jumped at the chance,” she says. Fifty-five thousand, six hundred and sixty-seven bricks and 840 hours later, the Subtropical Swimming Paradise had taken shape in LEGO form.
The model was built as a special one-off to mark the launch of the resort, and it’s a brilliant reminder of just how much can be achieved with patience, imagination and a serious brick collection.
