If someone told you that David Beckham spends his downtime building LEGO, you might be surprised — but the football megastar and dad-of-four is a genuine LEGO enthusiast. His Instagram feed has shown him taking on a mammoth project, and 4,000 pieces later, he completed the LEGO Disney Castle for princess-mad daughter Harper.
In one Instagram post, Beckham shared a photo of himself surrounded by all 4,080 pieces of the LEGO Disney Castle set, captioned: “Page 1 of the Disney castle, 4000 pieces 490 pages of instructions I look confused but I’m so excited.”

Days later, he posted a photo of the finished castle, captioned: “1am done… Someone’s gonna have a nice surprise in the morning 👼 zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz ❤️”
This isn’t the first time Beckham has spoken publicly about his LEGO builds. Back in 2014, he told The Sunday Times that building LEGO helped reduce stress, saying it “helps to calm me down.” At the time, his big project was the LEGO Tower Bridge set — a whopping 4,287 pieces.
Even earlier, in 2010, Beckham took part in a live webchat with fans and talked about his love of LEGO. He’d just completed the LEGO Taj Mahal, a staggering 5,922-piece build. Sales of that particular set reportedly jumped by 663% afterwards — proof that a celebrity LEGO habit can be pretty contagious.
