Irish mother-and-son LEGO artist duo the Farrells created something rather special: a full LEGO replica of the Subtropical Swimming Paradise pool at Center Parcs Longford. Using 55,667 LEGO bricks, Jessica and Faolán Farrell built a model so detailed it captures the tropical plants, the pool layout and even the atmosphere of the real thing.
Yes, it started life as a PR project for Center Parcs — but we love all things LEGO here at Mykidstime, and a build on this scale deserves a proper look. Center Parcs teamed up with internationally renowned LEGO artists Jessica and Faolán Farrell, a mother-and-son duo from Rathangan, Co. Kildare, to bring the Subtropical Swimming Paradise to life in brick form.
The Build, By the Numbers
The finished model measures 2m x 1.5m and took 105 days and 840 hours to complete. It showcases the Subtropical Swimming Paradise, the heated pool complex at Center Parcs Longford that’s surrounded by tropical planting and designed to feel like a warm-weather escape, whatever the weather is doing outside.

Meet the LEGO Artists
Jessica Farrell’s love of LEGO started when she was just four years old, and it’s clearly stayed with her. “When I was asked by Center Parcs to collaborate on something so exciting, and to do so with my own son, Faolán, I jumped at the chance,” she says.
Well done to Jessica and Faolán — a genuinely LEGO-tastic mother-and-son team, and proof that a big enough LEGO project is always worth the hours.
