Harry Potter fans, this one’s for you – the first-ever Harry Potter flagship store opened its doors in New York City, and it’s become a must-visit destination for Potterheads of all ages.
We are BIG fans of Hogwarts in our house, from books and Harry Potter party food to movies, LEGO and all manner of themed accessories. My daughter can quote from the books at the drop of a hat, and regularly says ‘Alohomora’ when she’s unlocking the front door or ‘Lumos’ when she flicks a light switch.
So when Warner Bros. announced the very first Harry Potter flagship store, it’s fair to say we started saving for a trip to New York! The store opened its doors in June 2021, next to the iconic Flatiron Building, and it remains one of the most exciting spots in the city for wizarding world fans.

What to Expect from the Harry Potter Flagship Store
Warner Bros.’ Harry Potter flagship store sits next to the Flatiron building in New York City. Spanning three floors and more than 20,000 sq. ft., it houses the largest collection of Harry Potter and Fantastic Beasts products in the world.
The store also offers wizarding fans a number of real retail experiences that are more in line with Diagon Alley and Hogsmeade than traditional shops – think all the Bertie Bott’s Every Flavour Beans and chocolate frogs you could want!
“This will be the largest dedicated Harry Potter store in the world and will become a must-visit fan destination where Harry Potter enthusiasts can engage with interactive experiences and numerous photo opportunities as they step into the magic,” said Sarah Roots, SVP Worldwide Tours and Retail with Warner Bros.
