Felin Geri, Wales
Guests can bask in the Welsh countryside at luxury glamping site Felin Geri, set near beautiful beaches, rolling hills, adventure sports spots and historic castles. There’s something here for everyone, and the safari tents make for a memorable family break.
Whether you’re exploring the local area, joining the owners as they fire up the pizza oven, or playing games in the tent’s cosy living area, you’ll be treated to warm Welsh hospitality while soaking in the scenery.
Three of the popular safari tents sleep up to six people, with a king-size bedroom, a twin bedroom that can become a double, and a full-size double cabin bed. Each has an open-plan living area with a fully equipped kitchen, a lounge and dining area leading to a veranda, and its own shower room and separate toilet.
There’s also a larger safari tent, Camnant, which sleeps up to eight across a king-size bedroom, a twin-bedded room, a full-size double cabin bed and a bunk-bedded room — ideal for extended families or small groups. Set within Port Lympne Animal Reserve, this glamping experience is an adventure in itself. The luxury tents come fully equipped, with wood-burning stoves, full-size beds and some with their own attached bathroom.

The campsite next to this family-favourite theme park makes for a great combined break: enjoy the rides, then spend the night in a safari tent with dinner in the on-site safari-themed restaurant, exclusively for glamping guests.
The standard and premium tents come with wooden flooring, proper beds and linen, power sockets and WiFi. The premium option adds a separate sleeping area for kids, outdoor furniture and extra space.
Stays in the Explorer Glamping tents have previously included perks such as extra park access, a hot breakfast, and use of the on-site pool and gym, though exact inclusions and the glamping season can vary year to year, so it’s worth checking current details before you book.
The Dandelion Hideaway, Leicestershire
These vintage-chic “canvas cottages” with Aga-style ranges and luxury bathrooms offer a genuinely sumptuous take on glamping in the heart of the Midlands.
With just six cottages, there’s a treasured, intimate atmosphere that makes for a perfect family getaway. The farmyard has a charming honesty shop selling local produce and gifts, and the location is handy for family attractions across Leicestershire, Derbyshire and Warwickshire — though kids may not want to stray too far once they discover they can help collect eggs, milk cows and groom Shetland ponies. Stay in the house or lodge barn on this working smallholding, set across 20 acres of parkland, woodland, orchards and gardens.
