In this two day camp, EPIC’s detectives are trying to solve a case, and enlisting only the most brave and fearsome recruits to join as they dive into the darker side of Irish history. Uncover those figures who made a notorious name for the Irish around the world, like legendary Wild West figure Billy the Kid; fearsome pirate of the Caribbean Anne Bonny; William Lamport, the Wexford man behind the mask of Zorro; Bootlegger, bank robber and gangster, George “”Machine Gun”” Kelly, and more.
Participants will work together to build case studies of the suspects, as they hear the tales of the Irish that have challenged and sometimes even changed the law – for better or worse. Mapping places and connections, solving clues, quizzes and riddles, acting out scenes, drafting wanted posters, diary excerpts and newspaper articles and more to help bring history to life, they’ll attempt to solve the EPIC murder mystery – discovering whodunit before the countdown clock expires on day two!
