#1. Eurocamp La Chapelle, Langedoc, France
Mum Josephine told us her family stayed at La Chapelle in Argelès Sur Mer in the Langedoc region of France in the foothills of the Pyrénées. “An amazing campsite with fantastic facilities for kids including a kids club and 6 pools and 2 waterslides”.
They loved it so much they have been twice and are thinking of going there again this year. Everything you need is within walking distance so there is no need of car.
#2. Escale St-Gilles, Bénodet, Brittany, France
Mum Orla rented a mobile home at the Escale St Gilles luxury campsite in Brittany. She says they offer a 5 star experience that the whole family enjoyed. Accommodation comprises of 2 and 3 bedroom mobile homes, sun lodges and serviced pitches for those who wish to camp.
They have a state of the art waterpark, luxury spa, restaurant and take away food options and a full range of activities for all members of the family.

#3. KelAir Le Clarys Plage Campotel, Vendée Region, France
Dad John and Mum Alison both recommended Le Clarys Plage Campotel as the perfect place to visit with kids in France. There are lots of facilities on-site including amazing pools and waterslide, but for those wishing to see more of France, it is well placed to explore the French countryside, towns and even take in the Puy du Fou Theme Park.
The site is walking distance to a great beach, Plage des Mouettes and you can hire a bike from the local shop and explore the coastline along the many cycle tracks.
#4. La Croix due Vieux Pont, Berny Rivera, France
Mum Siobhan travelled to La Croix du Vieux Pont Campsite with 4 adults, 2 teens & 2 tweens. Accommodation includes mobile homes, chalets, pitches for tents and camper vans and tree houses. As campsites go it is well equipped and spacious with indoor and outdoor swimming pools, tennis courts, table tennis, boules (bowls), restaurant & takeaways, fishing & siwmming lakes, playgrounds, kids’ go cart track, pedaloes and a host of other sports and activities. For parents who want a bit of pampering there is an on-site beauty salon and a gym too and kids clubs.
Paris is only 90 minutes away making it the perfect place for a day trip to visit the many sights the capital has to offer or even a visit to Disneyland Paris.
#5. Tohapi Domain de Léveno Campsite, Pays de la Loire, France
The Domain de Léveno Tohapi campsite in the Loire region of France was recommended by Jean who says it is great for kids with an on-site water park with waterslides, tennis course, gym, games room, min-golf course and a Spa for parents to enjoy.
You can also have fresh bread delivered daily and avail of barbecues to rent or enjoy take-away and restaurant facilities on-site too.

#6. Camping Sol a Gogo, St Hilaire, France
Mum Michelle tells us her family loved the small campsite Sol a Gogo which offer mobile homes by the beach with everything you need for a great holiday. Perfect for groups as they will accommodate you by giving you mobile homes beside each other.
The site has indoor and outdoor swimming pools with fun water slides and is on the beach. There are cycle routes to 2 nearby towns St Jean de Monts and St Gilles Croix de Ville both offering excellent restaurants and a true taste of French life.

#7. Huttopia Family Resorts, France
Dad Damien and Mum Niamh say that for family holiday resorts with difference, visit one of the Huttopia campsites or villages dotted around France. You can choose from destinations set in nature near the sea, in a forest, in the mountains or the countryside. There are on-site facilities including kids clubs, food service, swimming pools, lakes or lagoons, family activities and a linen and towel service.
You can park your motorhome, caravan or pitch your tent, the choice is yours! Or avail of an on-site mobile home, gites or cabanes or ready pitched tent with real beds.
#8. Eurocamp at La Garangeoire, Southern Vendée, France
Mum Rebecca says that the Eurocamp at La Garangeoire offers the ideal family resort in France for families with a range of ages. She has been for the last number of years with her children aged 7 to 17 years and says they all had a great time and were all well catered for.
It is set in the grounds of a beautiful old château and they offer a range of 3 & 2 bedroom chalets along with pitches for camping. There is a large range of pools and waterslides to suit all ages and lots of on-site activities to keep the whole family active.
#9. La Bois Masson Resort, Vendée Region, France
Mum Tara tells us that her family take the car to France and stay at La Bois Masson Siblu Resort in the Vendée region which has a range of activities for kids including indoor and outdoor swimming pools, restaurants, shops, kids playground and kids club for children aged 1 to 14 years. For parents there is a health and wellness centre and an on-site gym. And you have many sandy beaches just a short drive away.
