Before Frozen 2 hit cinemas, its trailers gave fans plenty to get excited about — and plenty of questions too. If you’re planning a Frozen movie night at home, it’s a fun bit of nostalgia to look back at what that trailer teased, before settling in to watch how it all actually plays out.

Why was Elsa born with magical powers? What truths about the past await her as she ventures into the unknown, to the enchanted forests and dark seas beyond Arendelle? The answers were calling her, but they also threatened her kingdom.
Together with Anna, Kristoff, Olaf and Sven, she faces a dangerous but remarkable journey. In Frozen, Elsa feared her powers were too much for the world. In Frozen 2, she has to hope they are enough.

What the Frozen 2 Trailer Revealed
Elsa and Anna are as close as ever, but Elsa starts hearing a voice that causes her to behave a bit strangely, and Anna begins to wonder if she’s okay. Then Elsa appears to accidentally cause a magical storm in Arendelle.
A troll called Grand Pabbie tells Elsa that the kingdom is not safe, and that she needs to “find who is calling to you — they may have answers.”
So Elsa and Anna head off on a journey to an Enchanted Forest they first learned about as children, to discover the truth behind Elsa’s powers and find out why the forest separated itself from the rest of the world all those years ago.
Our favourite characters from the first movie — Kristoff, Olaf and Sven — accompany Elsa and Anna on this new adventure. Along the way they walk through a wall of mist, face forces including fire and tornados, Elsa rides a mysterious “sea horse,” and some huge stone giants make an appearance.
Kristen Bell, the voice of Anna, said at the time that the movie would feature “a couple new characters that you will fall in love with.”

Watching Frozen 2 Now
Frozen 2 has been out since 2019 and is available to stream on Disney+, so if that trailer brought back happy memories, there’s nothing stopping you from having a full Frozen movie marathon this weekend.
